What are elective courses at EHL?
In the final year of the Bachelor of Science in International Hospitality Management, EHL students complete their academic journey with 3 elective courses. They can chose from in a wide variety of subjects, including programming, diversity, corporate social responsibility, mergers and acquisition, digital marketing or crisis management.
The purpose of this last year it to prepare students for their next professional experience by exploring or advancing their competencies.

Interested in teaching an elective course at EHL?
- Open electives: you can submit a proposal on any topic of expertise. We are open to any topic that you and our students deem relevant for their professional preparation as managers.
- Closed electives: Based on what we see relevant to add to our students’ tool box and what students requests, we call for a topic.
What are the selection criteria?
- First, contact us to get in touch and learn what are the requirements regarding content submission, the closed elective topic for this year, the selection process, and its deadline.
- A committee made up of Faculty, Students, Alumni and administration representative will collegially and carefully review each proposal.
- The course must be a logical progression from previous semesters (please check our program catalogue), have ”ready-to-use” application to the industry, be relevant in the current context, and have an international scope.
